I have this long blog post summarized by CoPilot and have it in 9 smaller parts; each part is what we will use in our next meeting for oral reading practice and to understand the mind of one of the world’s top business and social leaders when it comes to Climate Change and setting Climate Change reduction goals for the planet.

April 26, 2025: AI in 4 steps from online text to picture creation

Image credit: ChatGPT from 4 supplied prompts.

We will use AI in 4 steps:

1) Use an online book (we first take turns reading aloud from the selection) and get ChatGPT to take 3 paragraphs from that book, rewrite them using only 8th grade English vocabulary, and then we will again take turns reading aloud from the updated writing provided by ChatGPT.

2) Use ChatGPT to rewrite these paragraphs as lyrics. The class will then take turns reading aloud from this lyric writing.

3) Use Suno AI to write a song using those lyrics and a voice we choose from the Suno AI menu.

4) Get ChatGPT to use these lyrics to compose a picture or a painting. Students will submit their prompts to alter the picture or painting in the chat, and Mr Ian will add that prompt; this process will continue until we are satisfied with the picture or painting that represents all the work from online text to finished picture!

Intercultural Communication Workshop 1

What is intercultural communication?

Definition: Intercultural Communication is when people from different cultures effectively communicate with each other in verbal and non-verbal ways.

Our workshop today will be led by Dao.

Dao will lead some activities to ensure everyone understands the concept of Intercultural Communication. For example, the class will study the image above and make some educated inferences about the people in the image: What might be the background of the people in the image (country of origin, ethnicity, profession, languages spoken, etc).

So please be proactive and engage with us ^-^

September 21-October 12, 2024 Fall Sessions

Get Al to write at least 1 paragraph (up to 10 paragraphs) composed of 8 sentences and no more than 30 sentences that contains 3 to 5 new vocabulary words for an English learner at 1 level above beginner.

I recommend using Google docs so that you can easily highlight your chosen vocabulary words and use the built-in functionality to find the definitions with just a few clicks!
